New National TOPs Diamond Level Members
Rebound Gymnastic’s Gianna DiBella, Nicolette DiPrisco, Haley Hawthorne have been named to the USA Gymnastics National Talent Opportunity Program (TOPS) Diamond Level Team.
Rebound Gymnastic’s Gianna DiBella, Nicolette DiPrisco, Haley Hawthorne have been named to the USA Gymnastics National Talent Opportunity Program (TOPS) Diamond Level Team.

Rebounds’s Kali Zamkoff, 12, won the Region VII Level 8 Junior B allaround title with a score of 37.8. The meet was held in Charleston, W.Va. Competing against more than 300 other athletes, Zamkoff also won region championships on the vault and balance beam.
Zamkoff, who trains at Rebound Gymnastics in Cliffwood, the National Training Center for New Jersey, qualified for the Region VII competition at the New Jersey State meet, where she won the vault championship and tied for first on the floor exercise.
She has been at Rebound for the past five years and is coached by Diane Farrel. Zamkoff will move up to Level 9 next year.

On February 1, 2008 we all headed to the airport, with one of several thoughts on our minds, did I remember to pack the leotard, warm ups, hair gel, rollers, ribbons and enough money to support the “Mom/Dad, CAN I HAVE…?”
Thanks to Wendy’s organizational skills, check-in at the airport was uneventful. A few girls were reminded that they couldn’t take liquids through security when their water and hairspray were taken by a screener. You have to wonder what they do with all of those products that they remove from bags?
The plane ride was filed with lots of excitement. It was clear that the flight attendant didn’t share our enthusiasm, when she made the announcement that this wasn’t a play ground and that we must take our seats. I quickly surveyed the area and all of the girls were seated. I wonder if she was talking about the adults that were standing?
We arrived at Embassy Suites and checked into our rooms. The layout of the hotel was perfect for our girls and parents. Many enjoyed the free cocktail hour between 5:30-7:30, while other appreciated how close it was to the event and don’t forget the mall across the street. Yea Dave and Busters!
On Saturday, level 9 and level 4 had a 7:30 am report time. After cleaning the sleepers out of our eyes and heading down for a free breakfast, many parents and gymnasts headed over to watch both levels compete. The lights went out a few times before the meet started; the level 4 girls thought it was fun.
